MPI releases vintage British dramas

Seldom-seen crime titles in July

Three seldom-scene vintage British crime dramas are coming to DVD, courtesy of indie supplier MPI Home Video. The "Classic British Thrillers" collection, arriving in stores July 29, includes 1934's "Red Ensign" and 1935's "The Phantom Light," both from Oscar-nominated writer-director Michael Powell, along with 1947's "The Upturned Glass," a postwar film noir from James Mason.
