'Mr. Robot' Villain Martin Wallstrom Signs With UTA (Exclusive)
The critically acclaimed USA summer hit is the Swedish star’s American-television debut.
Mr. Robot’s Martin Wallstrom has signed with UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. He plays malevolently ambitious tech executive Tyrell Wellick on the USA hacker drama, which became a critically acclaimed watercooler hit this summer.
The role is Wallstrom's U.S.-television debut. The Swedish actor is a star in his native country, where his film credits include 2009’s Pure (opposite Alicia Vikander), 2010’s Simple Simon (which was shortlisted for Oscar’s best foreign-language film) and 2013’s Easy Money III: Life Deluxe, in which he starred alongside franchise lead Joel Kinnaman.
Wallstrom continues to be repped by Aleksandra Mandic at Sweden’s Agentfirman, manager Kimberlin Belloni at Principato-Young and attorney Tara Kole at Gang Tyre.
