Golden Globes: 'Mr. Robot' Wins Best TV Series, Drama
The 73rd annual awards show, hosted by Ricky Gervais, took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday.
USA's Mr. Robot took home the Golden Globe for best TV series, drama on Sunday night.
Writer-executive producer Sam Esmail took the stage with the show's star, Rami Malek, and executive producers Chad Hamilton and Steve Golin to accept the honor. He gave a shout out to "our amazing cast, led by the brilliant performance of Rami Malek. I gotta thank Emmy [Rossum] for recommending Rami to me. More importantly, I gotta thank you for being my best friend and I love you,” he said of his actress-fiancée.
The show beat out Empire (Fox), Game of Thrones (HBO), Narcos (Netflix) and Outlander (Starz) to win the award.
