MTV Adds 'Caged' to Slate, Renews 'World of Jenks'
The two series, including one centered on MMA fighting, join a diverse slate of programming at the cable network.
MTV has picked up Caged, a new documentary series chronicling a group of recent high school graduates trapped in small-town America whose lives revolve around MMA fighting.
In addition, the cable network has renewed World of Jenks, from documentary filmmaker Andrew Jenks, for a second season.
Caged, a weekly docu-series, will take a glimpse into the world of young amateur MMA fighters, both inside and outside of the cage. The series is executive produced by Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina of Joke Productions. Dave Sirulnick and Amy Bailey are executive producing for MTV.
In the second season of World of Jenks with the new one-hour format, Jenks will bring a different approach to his storytelling as he tells the story of three people and their experiences over a six-month period. Jenks serves as executive producer, with Dave Snyder co-exec producing. Brent Haynes and Brooke Posch executive produce for MTV.
The two series join previously announced FriendZone, The Inbetweeners, Money From Strangers, Savage U, The Substitute and the Jersey Shore “spinoffs” featuring cast members Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “Jwoww” Farley, and Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio.
