MTV Movie Awards 2015: Rebel Wilson Discusses the Message Behind Her "Think" Pants
"It's really about what's up here and not what's here," Wilson said pointing first to her brain and secondly to her figure.
Rebel Wilson channeled her inner (and outer) angel at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, complete with life-size white wings, a bejeweled black bra and "think" adorned black leggings.
The Australian Pitch Perfect 2 star had to strategize her movements in the wings, walking sideways through doors to enter into rooms.
In the MTV Movie Awards press room, Wilson said that there was more thought that went into her costume than initially meets the eye. Wearing black leggings that had the word "think" on the derriere area, Wilson said she encourages girls to think: "It's really about what's up here and not what's here," she said pointing first to her brain and secondly to her figure.
During the show, Barden Bellas members Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp and Hailee Steinfeld introduced a clip of the anticipated Pitch Perfect 2 during the show.
"We've got a whole bunch of girls — we've got 10 girls in the group. We're all different shapes and sizes and nationalities, and I think that one of the messages in this movie is, we're all beautiful," Wilson said of the musical comedy sequel.
When asked about her black, embellished top, Wilson said that Shady Zeineldine who designs Madonna's and Lady Gaga's costumes crafted the piece in Dubai.
"Sometimes girls look at Victoria's Secret models and think they have to model themselves after that," Wilson said. "But I really don't think that's the best."
