MTV Movie Awards: Eminem, Rihanna to Perform 'Monster'
Eminem and Rihanna are dropping by the MTV Movie Awards as they gear up for their co-headlining summer stadium tour.
The frequent collaborators will take the stage this Sunday for the first televised performance of their single, "The Monster." Eminem and Rihanna are no strangers to the MTV Movie Awards, having performed previously (Eminem in 2009 and Rihanna with Jay Z in 2007). Eminem also was a part of one of the awards show's most memorable moments when a little-clothed Sacha Baron Cohen, as his alter ego Bruno, dropped down from the rafters and onto the rapper.
The duo's six-date, three-city The Monster Tour kicks off Aug. 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena before wrapping up Aug. 23 at Comerica Park in Detroit, Eminem's hometown.
The MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Conan O'Brien and broadcast from the Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live on Sunday, April 13, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
British singer Ellie Goulding, DJ Zedd and Twenty One Pilots were previously announced as performers, while Mark Wahlberg will receive the Generation Award and Channing Tatum will be honored with the Trailblazer Award.
Paramount's The Wolf of Wall Street and Columbia's American Hustle lead the pack with eight nominations apiece, followed by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with seven and We're the Millers with six.
Jesse Ignjatovic, Lee Lodge and Jen Jones serve as executive producers with MTV's Garrett English. Wendy Plaut is co-executive producer and executive in charge of celebrity talent, with Amy Doyle as executive in charge of music and celebrity talent. Joanna Bomberg is executive in charge of music talent.
