In her speech, Witherspoon makes quips directed at Pattinson, reality stars and even -- some say -- Blake Lively.

"I have the three most ridiculous people on planet Earth giving me this award!" Reese Witherspoon said Sunday night at the MTV Movie Awards, where she received the Generation Award.

Her co-stars Robert Pattinson (Water for Elephants, Vanity Fair), Patrick Dempsey (Sweet Home Alabama) and Chelsea Handler (the upcoming romantic comedy This Means War) were on hand to present her with the Golden Popcorn trophy.

During his presentation, Pattinson let an F-bomb fly that apparently slipped past the censors. He was relating how he played Witherspoon's son in Vanity Fair (the scene was later cut) and then he "f---ed" her in Water for Elephants.

Witherspoon in her speech took a dig at Pattinson, noting that he messed up the punchline: He should have said he's the best "motherf---er."

Witherspoon also took a dig at reality stars -- and even perhaps MTV, which is heavy on the reality genre -- during her speech.

“It’s also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show. When I came up in this business, when you made a sex tape you were embarrassed and you hid it under your bed. If you take naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people. Hide your face.”

Several blogs noted that the latter dig seemed targeted at Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, who is in the midst of a scandal surrounding recently leaked nude photos that she has denied are of her.
