As we all know, the shoes say everything — and there was no lack of fierceness in footwear at the VMAs red carpet Sunday. Here, our top-10 picks from music's big night.

We're guessing these have a zip up in the back, otherwise it looks like hours of lacing to get into these thigh-high, lace-up, studded stiletto beauties with a leather ruffle. These are, by far, the most adventurous shoes she's worn on the carpet and we love the statement.
