MTV VMAs: What the Nominees, Performers are Saying on Eve of Awards Telecast
Chris Brown, Joe Jonas and Bruno Mars tweet their excitement for Sunday’s event, while first timer Wiz Khalifa tells THR he's expecting the night to be "cool as s--t."
‘Twas the night before the MTV Video Music Awards and all through the Twitterverse not a creature was silent.
The musicians, actors and reality stars that will attend the VMAs tomorrow took to Twitter to express their excitement for Sunday’s event.
Chris Brown, who will perform at the event, has been keeping his fans updated on his rehearsals. He even tweeted a photo from one rehearsal.
“So excited about the VMAs. My perfomance rehearsal is a lot of hard work! No special guests, just ME!” he tweeted.
Joe Jonas, who will release his first solo album in October, also tweeted about Sunday’s event.

“Who's ready for the MTV VMA's this year? I'm presenting,” he wrote.
Bruno Mars, who will also perform at the show, wrote “Nervous, Excited, Anxious and Horny,” on his Twitter on Saturday.
Wiz Khalifa, who'll be attending the VMAs for the first time, told The Hollywood Reporter at the BMI Urban Awards on Friday night that he's "expecting it to be cool as s--t."
The rapper won't be performing, but he is up for a moonman. "I'm nominated for Best New Artist so I'm gonna go and just kick it," he said. As for his chances? "I think they're pretty high if I do say so myself."

The band Young the Giant, also tweeted about their performance, which will be particularly special because it’s their first one on a VMA stage.
“VMAs tomorrow. Get ready for the tambourine,” they wrote. The band is best known for their songs, “My Body,” and “Cough Syrup.”
“The VMA set up is looking amazing! The coolest rave I ever been too!” wrote hip hop artist Kreayshawn. Nominated for Best New Artist, Kreayshawn will also be hosting the black carpet before the show for MTV.

And what would an MTV event be without the cast of The Jersey Shore?
Ronnie tweeted, “Cali baby... VMA weekend.. Who are you most excited to see perform? I'm going with Lil Wayne & Drake!”
Castmate Vinnie tweeted, “Had to take the PJ to the #VMAs to beat the storm.East coast you will be fine just chill in and laugh while it passes.” Reportedly, some of the cast members took a private jet to Los Angeles to escape the East Coast before Hurricane Irene arrived.
