MTVNI ups Caring to senior vp
EmptyLONDON -- MTV Networks International has promoted talent and music vp Jamie Caring to senior vp talent and music, with responsibility for driving the development of MTVNI's talent strategy across all brands and platforms in Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Russia.
London-based Caring, a 12-year MTVNI veteran, will be in charge of booking talent to appear at such events as the MTV Europe music awards and MTV Live. He'll also oversee the building of relationships with new talent and emerging musical talent for a range of MTV outlets.
"Jamie's outstanding industry relationships and strong expertise as a music strategist will be of enormous benefit to MTVNI's local and regional businesses in his new role," said MTVNI senior vp content and music Richard Godfrey, to whom Caring will report.
"His encyclopedic knowledge of music and fervent advocacy of artists and emerging talent will make him the perfect partner for the music industry as MTVNI's multiplatform businesses continue to expand around the world," Godfrey added.
