The White House will host a screening of The Muppets a day ahead of its Nov. 23 release for a group of military families.
Jason Segel and Kermit the Frog will be among the film's stars to attend the Nov. 22 event, which will be held at the Family Theater. Filmmakers behind the project will also be on hand to take pictures and meet the guests, a White House official told The Hollywood Reporter.

It has not been determined whether the first family will attend the afternoon screening.
The Muppets stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams along with the Jim Henson-created characters. The film centers on the efforts of Gary (Segel), his girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) and brother Walter to save the Muppet Theater from being razed by a nefarious oilman (Chris Cooper) who wants to use the property to drill oil recently discovered there. To do so, they must reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.
It's first big screen outing for the colorful crew since Muppets from Space in 1999 and since Disney acquired the franchise from the Jim Henson estate in 2004.
THR's Todd McCarthy called the project a "perfectly enjoyable family comedy [that] is disarmingly upfront about its raison d'etre—to reboot the Muppets for a new generation of moppets. In this it should succeed, while also entertaining old fans inclined to a bit of childhood nostalgia."
