'Museum' DVD date set: April 24
Empty"Night at the Museum," the top-grossing holiday release and Ben Stiller's second most successful movie ever, will be released on DVD April 24 in two editions, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment announced Monday.
The single-disc ($29.98) will come with commentaries from director Shawn Levy and writers Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon. The two-disc special edition, which will sell for just five dollars more, includes the same commentaries as well as such other extras as an alternate opening scene, deleted and extended scenes, a blooper reel, a DVD-ROM trivia game and featurettes on the making of the movie, building the museum and the costumes.
"Night at the Museum" was released just before Christmas and was in the top five on the box office charts for eight weeks, ultimately grossing nearly $230 million.
