Music Choice Play Launches 'Inside Rising Star'
Music Choice Play, “the music video, lifestyle and entertainment network for millenials," will debut its first episodic series, Inside Rising Star, this Thursday, at 8 p.m.
The weekly, 30-minute series will be hosted by Cumulus Radio’s Ralphie Aversa and offer weekly behind-the-scenes exclusives, interviews and candid moments with the cast of ABC’s Rising Star music competition show, which airs Sundays at 9 p.m. Rising Star is produced by dick clark productions, which is part of Guggenheim Partners, the parent company of Hollywood Reporter and Billboard.
Inside Rising Star is a 10-week series, airing every Thursday night, that gives fans an intimate look at what aired the previous Sunday on the ABC show, which premiered last weekend. Inside Rising Star airs on Music Choice Play and will be archived on Music Choice On Demand for the duration of the season. Music Choice is available in 57 million homes nationwide.
The show is a companion series to Rising Star, a music competition entry executive-produced in the U.S. by Ken Warwick (American Idol) and Nicolle Yaron (The Voice). The series is from Israel-based Keshet DCP, the joint venture between Keshet International (KI), the global distribution and production arm of Keshet Media Group, and DC Media, the parent company of dick clark productions (dcp).
Aversa has interviewed everyone from Lady Gaga to Matt Damon, covering the 2008 presidential election and the Grammy awards. His show, Ralphie Tonight, currently airs on Cumulus Media’s 95.5 PLJ in New York, 92 PRO-FM in Providence, RI, Q105 in New London, CT, and 97 BHT in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA. His total cume between the four stations reaches over 3.8 million people.
