The competition will feature music from five aspiring artists, one of whom will have a single released by Disney Music Group.
N.B.T. (Next Big Thing), a musical talent contest hosted by Jake Whetter and featuring interviews with Ernie D, returns for its fourth season on Oct. 16. Radio Disney and Disney Channel will feature music from five aspiring, unsigned artists who are all vying for the opportunity to record an original track which will be released by Disney Music Group.
During the 10-week competition, the audience can participate by looking, listening and voting for their favorite artist at RadioDisney.com, Radio Disney's Facebook page or by texting "NBT" to DISNEY (347639).
"With the fourth season, we are introducing new voting elements to our contest which will allow our fans to help decide which of the talented young artists will move to the next round," said Sean Cocchia, senior vp and general manager at Radio Disney.
The artists will face elimination based on listener votes at the end of each round. Audience will be allowed one registered vote per artist, per day, per format. Each contender will also have two full songs, exclusive videos, photos and bios featured on RadioDisney.com, the N.B.T. mobile website, and Radio Disney's YouTube Channel. The winner will be revealed in December.
Radio Disney network's current playlist includes popular recording artists Selena Gomez & the Scene, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Willow Smith, Cody Simpson, Katy Perry, Taio Cruz and Allstar Weekend.
