Naked Donald Trump Statue Up for Auction
Entitled "The Emperor Has No Balls," the piece is estimated to fetch between $10K-20K, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the National Immigration Forum.
The naked Donald Trump statue is up for bidding at Julien’s Auctions.
Entitled "The Emperor Has No Balls," the piece by anonymous art collective INDECLINE originally appeared on the 4600 block of Hollywood Boulevard. Estimated to fetch between $10K-20K, a portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the National Immigration Forum, one of the leading immigrant advocacy organizations in the country, with a mission to advocate for the value of immigrants and immigration to the nation.
The statue appeared in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cleveland and Seattle in August. INDECLINE also released a video of the process of creating the bright, unflattering images of the Republican presidential nominee, explaining that the title is a play on the idiom "the emperor has no clothes" and highlights the part of Trump's anatomy that is missing from the artwork.
Other political street art offered includes Knowledge Bennett’s “Hillary Clinton Cojones” featuring an image of a ‘ball grabbing,’ tux-wearing Clinton, and Shepard Fairey’s “Hope,” with the iconic image of Obama that led his 2008 campaign. The street art auction house is also offering other rare pieces by Banksy, Keith Haring, Jean Michelle Basquiat, Andy Warhol and more.
The Julien’s Auctions Street Art Auction takes place on Oct. 22. See the full statue below.
