California’s newest film festival, the Napa Valley Film Festival, is launching an Artists-in-Residence program for its initial Dramatic Feature competition in November.

Selected writer-directors will stay for up to five nights at the luxurious Meadowood Resort & Spa, where they can consult with industry mentors and workshop their next projects.

The inaugural Napa Valley Film Festival runs from Nov. 9-13. The Festival announced this week that filmmakers may enter their work through the Withoutabox.com extended deadline of June 30.

NVFF aims to serve the interests and needs of independent filmmakers by exhibiting and promoting new films and nurturing a creative community with programs such as the Artists-in Residence program.
