Nash Grier Signs Exclusive Two-Year Deal With DigiTour Media (Exclusive)
The Vine star and his brother, Hayes Grier, will work with DigiTour to produce all of their live social media events through 2016.
Vine star Nash Grier has signed an exclusive two-year deal with live event producer DigiTour Media.
Grier and younger brother Hayes Grier, also popular for his six-second videos on Twitter-owned Vine, will both work with DigiTour to produce all their live social media events through the end of 2016. The deal includes production of the their upcoming world tour.
As part of the deal with DigiTour, 17-year-old Nash Grier will join the company as creative director. In the new role Grier will executive produce, direct and star in a number of original series that will appear on the DigiTour website and social media platforms.
"Having worked well together beforehand, we are delighted to have teen trailblazers Nash Grier and Hayes Grier officially joining the DigiTour family and on board to help continue to build out our creative service offerings," said DigiTour CEO Meridith Valiando Rojas, who co-founded the company with her husband Chris Rojas. Rojas, who serves as COO, added: "As DigiTour continues to expand we feel confident that this addition to our team will be a huge asset to future endeavors."
Nash Grier rose gained popularity on Vine in 2013 after his humorous and entertaining short videos took off. Today his videos have accumulated more than 2.7 billion loops, the number of times the continuous videos have played. In addition to expanding onto other social media platforms, he is also set to star in his first feature film, Fullscreen's The Outfield.
Hayes Grier, 14, began posting Vines with his brother and today he has amassed 3.8 million followers on Vine. His videos have more than 310 million loops.
They join DigiFest as the media company — which is backed by Ryan Seacrest, Guy Oseary and Ben Silverman, among others — ramps up its summer programming schedule, with DigiFest NYC kicking off an eight-city schedule.
