National Geographic Sets Week of Osama bin Laden Programming
Specials will be updated with new narration and footage to reflect news of the terrorist leader's death.
National Geographic Channel is replacing its primetime programming with a week's worth of programming related to news of Osama bin Laden's death, starting Monday night.
In the wake of President Obama's news that the terrorist leader had been killed in a U.S.-led attack, NGC's weeklong programming event will kick off Monday at 7 p.m. with The Final Report: Osama bin Laden Dead or Alive, a look at how he eluded would-be captors during the battle at Tora Bora in late 2001, followed by CIA Confidential: Hunt for bin Laden.
A spokesman said programming would be updated with new narration and footage where needed to reflect Sunday's historic announcement.
Additional primetime coverage includes Inside 9/11, Witness: DC 9-11, Giuliani's 9-11, Inside the Green Berets and more than seven hours of coverage on Saturday, concluding with Inside 9-11: Zero Hour.
NGC is currently available in more than 70 million homes.
