NBC Uni ups pair in int'l marketing

Global TV marketing veteran Pauline Bohm has been upped to senior vp marketing at NBC Universal International Television Distribution.

She will continue to create marketing strategies for the division's TV and feature film portfolio while taking charge of international brand strategy.

In addition, Bohm is responsible for the division's presence at all international sales markets and events, and is charged with identifying new and innovative marketing practices and methods of client support.

"Pauline has done an outstanding job in taking our marketing efforts well beyond expectations and plays an instrumental role in our overall business," Belinda Menendez, president of NBC Universal International Television Distribution, said Friday in announcing the promotion.

Bohm most recently was vp marketing at the division, a position she has held since joining NBC Universal in 2004. Before that, she was senior vp international marketing at Pearson Television International. Before Pearson, Bohm was executive director of NBC advertising and promotion from 1985-96. Bohm began her career as an account executive for the advertising agency Clemenger Australia.

Meanwhile, Rachel Mansson also has been promoted to vp marketing at the division's international new-media unit. Bohm is based in Los Angeles and reports to Menendez. Mansson is based in London and reports to Bohm.

Mansson was marketing director of international new media, a post she has held since 2005. She first joined the company in 2002 as marketing director, EMEA.
