NBC Ups Reality Exec George Sealey

NBC has upped reality executive George Sealey to senior vp alternative programming and development.
The three-year veteran of NBC Entertainment, who was previously a producer on The Apprentice, rises from the role of VP — after previously serving as VP.
“George has both a great appreciation for what viewers want to see and a terrific skill set in producing compelling television,” said alternative programming and development executive vp Meredith Ahr. “His dedication and leadership make every show he’s associated with better. His ability to be creative, collaborative and forward thinking make him a key member of our team as we evolve the genre forward.”
Series under Sealey’s purview include Running Wild With Bear Grylls, The Biggest Loser and upcoming Dick Wolf reality venture Law & Order: You the Jury — as well as Celebrity Apprentice.
Sealey's promotion comes as the network continues to up its investment in alternative programming, a roster that now dwarfs its small comedy stable.
