NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke's Pay Falls Slightly to $33.7 Million

Comcast CFO Michael Cavanagh outearned his CEO boss, Brian Roberts, by making $40.6 million in 2015, making him the highest-paid CFO in the nation.

NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke's compensation for 2015 amounted to $33.7 million, compared with $33.9 million in 2014, according to a regulatory filing.

In 2013, he made $31.1 million.

Comcast CEO Brian Roberts' pay also was disclosed in a regulatory filing on Friday, and he made $36.2 million, up from $33 million.

In a bit of a twist, Comcast CFO Michael Cavanagh outearned his CEO boss by making $40.6 million, which, according to Bloomberg, makes him the highest-paid CFO in the nation.

Cavanagh only joined Comcast as an employee on May 11, 2015, and was made CFO on July 1. His base salary in 2015 was $1.8 million, but he got $16.5 million in stock awards, $4 million in option awards, $6 million via a nonequity incentive plan and $12 million in "other" compensation.

Michael Angelakis, who was replaced by Cavanagh midyear, was paid $20.2 million, up from $18.9 million.

Shares of Comcast fell 6 percent in 2015.

Comcast also disclosed Friday that Neil Smit, CEO of Comcast Cable, was paid $28 million, up from $23.1 million, while senior executive vp David Cohen made $18 million, up from $13.5 million.
