Ned Vaughn Reelected as SAG VP
He’s part of the team leading the union towards merger with AFTRA.
Ned Vaughn, Screen Actors Guild 1st VP and chair of the guild’s Hollywood board, was reelected to those posts Wednesday night at a Hollywood board meeting. The move was expected.
Vaughn, along with SAG secretary-treasurer Amy Aquino and president Ken Howard, are leaders of the guild’s Unite for Strength faction. UFS racked up sweeping victories in the union’s elections last month.
Since its formation in 2008, the Hollywood-based UFS has campaigned on a platform emphasizing merger with AFTRA, and SAG voters have responded by granting it increasingly overwhelming majorities.
