Neil Diamond Signs With WME
It's the singer/songwriter's first agency representation in more than three decades
Neil Diamond has signed with WME, it was announced Wednesday. It is the first time the singer has been with an agency in 30 years. The Grammy winner's management remains with Katie McNeil Diamond, his wife.
“We are incredibly honored to be working with him as he embarks on another step in his remarkable career," said Marc Geiger, WME's head of music, in a statement.
The agency will oversee Diamond's upcoming world tour behind his new album Melody Road, to be released by Capitol on Oct. 21. Diamond signed with the label in January, marking the first time the troubadour's catalog has been under one roof.
On Tuesday, Diamond performed in Brooklyn – his hometown – for the first time in his 50-year career, serenading the chapel of his former high school, Erasmus Hall.
