Neil Patrick Harris, Louis C.K., Steve Buscemi to Receive 'Made in NY' Award (Exclusive)

Neil Patrick Harris, Louis C.K. and Steve Buscemi are among a group of New York industryites who are are being honored with a Made in NY Award. The ceremony, which will be held Nov. 10 in Brooklyn, marks the first for Mayor Bill de Blasio's administration.

De Blasio and Media & Entertainment commissioner Cynthia Lopez will host the Made in NY Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the city’s entertainment and digital media industries, celebrating excellence in the New York City creative community.

Also being honored are Brooklyn digital design and technology consultancy firm Huge (CEO Aaron Shapiro will accept the award), MacArthur fellow and National Humanities Medal honoree Stanley Nelson, actress and The View co-host Rosie Perez, Producers Guild of America's Lydia Dean Pilcher, PGA Green chair Mari Jo Winkler, PGA's Rachel Watanabe-Batton and Blue Bloods co-executive producer and Sex and the City producer Jane Raab.

The Made in NY Mayor’s Award for Lifetime Achievement will be presented to renowned documentarian Albert Maysles, who also is the founder of the Maysles Documentary Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the exhibition and production of documentary films that inspire dialogue and action in Harlem.
