Netflix's Soccer Dramedy 'Club de Cuervos' Gets Release Date
The Spanish-language series will bow Aug. 7 in all Netflix territories.
Netflix has set an Aug. 7 release date for the soccer series Club de Cuervos, an original Spanish-language production from the creators of the Mexican box-office hit Nosotros los Nobles (The Noble Family).
Created by Nobles director Gaz Alazraki alongside Mike Lam and producer Leonardo Zimbron, Club de Cuervos is the streamer's first original series produced in Mexico. Starring Luis Gerardo Mendez, the dramedy centers on a feud between heirs of a professional soccer club after the team’s owner dies.
The 13-episode series will bow in all Netflix territories.
Also slated for release later this year is the Netflix production Narcos, starring Wagner Moura and executive produced by Brazil's Jose Padilha (RoboCop). Based on Pablo Escobar's Medellin drug cartel, Narcos was shot on location in Colombia.
