Col. Sanders is back.
KFC has revived its founder and mascot in the form of Saturday Night Live alum Darrell Hammond for its new slate of commercials.
"Howdy, folks," says Hammond in one ad. "It's me, Col. Sanders. I've been gone for a while, and, boy, have things changed. Nowadays, you've got your international space station. Your double-sided tape. Your cargo pants. You seen these pants? That's too many pockets."
KFC has said it was bringing back the Colonel, who died in 1980, to help celebrate the company's 75th anniversary.
"The Colonel has always been at the core of everything we do here at Kentucky Fried Chicken," reads KFC's statement. "The 75th anniversary is the perfect time to give him back to the people."
