New 'Moana' Trailer Focuses on Friendship Between The Rock's Demi-God and Title Character
The duo, with Auli'i Cravalho voicing Moana, go on an adventure at sea and encounter the Realm of Monsters.
In Disney's Moana, Maui (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) may be a demi-god, but titular character Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) seems to have no problem holding her own with him, setting sail on the ocean and fighting alongside him.
The latest trailer for the upcoming animated film shows Moana meeting Maui for the first time and offers a glimpse of their adventure at sea. The ocean is Moana's friend, she tells Maui, high-fiving a wave. However, at one point in the trailer, the sea looks none-too-friendly, as a threateningly large and dark wave looms over Moana's head.
When Maui tries to kick Moana off her own canoe she stands up to him, and the pair look like they find their way into friendship pretty quickly. Then it's time to face the Real of Monsters, and Moana looks more than a bit dubious about the deep, deep, deep jump she must accomplish.
The musical film is set to hit theaters on Nov. 23.
