Front Row Report, BCBG Max Azria: Pete Wentz Is a Great Boyfriend
The Fall Out Boy frontman doesn't put too much thought into his everyday ensembles, but when he does, he makes sure his loved ones are onboard.
Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz might not be involved in the fashion industry anymore (his Clandestine Industries brand, which launched in 2006, is no more), but he sure can appreciate the art behind it. "I like seeing artists creating — it's a medium I don't really work in," said Wentz of being able to see a designer's work come to life on the runway. "It's really cool to see, especially some of the women's shows — it's risky, but there's still functionality, like a show like this," he told Pret-a-Reporter, referring to the BCBG Max Azria show on Thursday during New York Fashion Week.
Indeed, the BCBG Max Azria fall 2015 presentation saw models showcase the L.A.-based brand's latest collection, featuring multicolor coats, quilted vests and silk-chiffon frocks in a rich palette of white, tan, burgundy, blue and black. Leather, over-the-knee and fur-accented boots added a touch of toughness to the boho-luxe ensembles.
Wentz, who was sandwiched in between supermodels Petra Nemcova and Coco Rocha during the show, shared that he doesn't think too much about his daily outfits. "I end up pretty monochromatic most of the time," said the musician, who wore a leather jacket with a black scarf and pants. However, if he's heading out with his sons or girlfriend Meagan Camper, he'll put more thought into it. "If I'm dropping my kid off at school, I try not to embarrass him with what I wear, and when I'm going out with my girlfriend […] I'm trying to complement [her outfits]," said the bleach-blond rocker, "I'm like the wine pairing to her dish." Sounds like a recipe for style (and relationship) success.
