Among the fashionati in the front row of Carolina Herrera's lovely spring 2014 show Monday morning were Anna Wintour, Glenda Bailey, Elle's Robbie Myers and Joe Zee, Graydon and Anna Carter and Fran Lebowitz.

Meanwhile, major celebs -- the biggest showing so far -- included Christina Hendricks, with stylist Lawren Sample (in from L.A.), Uma Thurman, Michelle Dockery, Ali Larter, Brittany Snow and Molly Sims

Now, we know Hendricks and Dockery are going to the Emmy's on Sept. 22 – so we know they'll be needing the newest, chicest gowns and cocktail dresses, as there are many parties leading up to the Emmys.

The fact that Hendricks attended with Sample makes us wonder which delicate but intricate CH gown they might ask to be remade in other color choices. Dockery's never worn Carolina Herrera, but there's always a first time. Stylist Brad Goreski, who attended, says, "There are always great Hollywood evening wear possibilities at this show – that's why I'm here."

Are the Emmys only going to have gowns from spring 2014 – and skip fall 2013 altogether? That would certainly be a first, and would show the new fashion power being ascribed to the Emmys this year. After all, look at how important television itself has become in the past year.
