New York Post Mocks Trump's "White House Survivor" Cabinet in Latest Cover
Following recently appointed communications director Anthony Scaramucci's scathing comments about fellow members of the Trump administration, the publication released a mock-up poster comparing Trump's team to the reality show.
The New York Post poked some fun at President Donald Trump and his administration with their cover for Friday's issue comparing POTUS and his team to CBS' hit reality series Survivor.
Following the critical comments made by newly appointed White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci about chief strategist Steve Bannon and White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus during a scathing interview with New Yorker correspondent Ryan Lizza, in which he called the latter "a fucking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac" and accused the former of "trying to build [his] own brand off the fucking strength of the president," the Post tweeted a preview of their cover for Friday's issue with the caption, "Tomorrow's cover: In the latest episode of 'White House Survivor,' the West Wing descended into chaos Thursday."
The reference to the long-running reality series, in which a group of individuals are deposited in a remote area and must fend for "survival" among the elements while also manipulating one another to earn a cash prize, is an apparent jab at the nature of Trump's administration now that Scaramucci has come aboard.
Scaramucci, who also implied in the interview that Priebus and others would be on their way out of the West Wing soon, later tweeted, "I sometimes use colorful language. I will refrain in this arena but not give up the passionate fight for @realDonaldTrump's agenda."
