The Newport International Film Festival, which runs June 3-7 in Newport, R.I., has partnered with the Museum of Modern Art, spotlighting MoMA's annual screening series "To Save and Project: The MoMA International Festival of Film Preservation."

The winner of the festival's Claiborne Pell Tribute Award will be presented with a $10,000 contribution in his or her name to be given to MoMA for its film-preservation program. The honoree will take part in choosing which film the museum will preserve. (partialdiff)
