News Corp.-Owned Wall Street Journal Polls Readers on Scandal’s Impact
The Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper sends subscribers a questionnaire attempting to gauge impact of phone-hacking controversy
The Wall Street Journal has not yet asked its employees to begin saving documents like staffers of the New York Post, but the News Corp.-owned paper is dealing with now-shuttered sister-paper News of the World's phone-hacking scandal in other ways.

Journal subscribers were sent a questionnaire last week asking readers what impact the illegal activities from across the pond have had on their faith in its own content, reports the New York Times.
The survey, which first asks "Have you heard or seen anything in the news or elsewhere over the past few weeks about News Corp. or News of the World, a U.K.-based tabloid?", also included a question about whether readers knew Rupert Murdoch was the chairman of Dow Jones, the Journal's publisher, and if they believe he has improved the paper since his 2008 takeover.
Readers are also asked to rate the question of whether the CEO of a company should be held responsible "for all the actions of its employees, no matter how large the corporation is" on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 meaning they "disagree completely" and 10 meaning they "agree completely").

To encourage its subscribers to participate, the questionnaire also said two entries will be picked at random to choose a prize: a digital camera, an iPod Touch or a Kindle e-reader.
