Caserta back at IFC as exec vp

Jennifer Caserta has rejoined IFC as executive vp marketing, communications, scheduling and alternative platforms after serving as executive vp and GM of sister channel Fuse. Caserta was senior vp marketing at IFC, overseeing all trade and consumer marketing initiatives, before moving to Fuse in January. In her new role, Caserta will oversee marketing, scheduling, branding, events, the IFC Free Film Tour and IFC's Web and on-demand programming efforts.



Six musicians of promise sent to Sundance

NEW YORK —The 10th annual Sundance Institute Composers Lab has selected six emerging musicians to be coached by composer James Newton Howard, director Lawrence Kasdan and other advisers. Terence Blanchard assistant Derrick Hodge, Jeremy Flower, Shahzad Ali Ismaily, Enis Rotthoff, Gingger Shankar and Jeff Toyne will participate in the lab, under way beginning today through Aug. 9 in Park City. As part of their training, participants will create scores for scenes shot during the Sundance Institute Feature Film Program's Directors Lab.



NBC, CBS nab reporters in news shift

NEW YORK — NBC News said Monday that it has hired former CBS News correspondent Lee Cowan, and CBS News has picked up 25-year ABC News correspondent Dean Reynolds. Cowan will be based in Chicago and work for all of NBC's platforms, including "NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams" and "Today." Cowan began work last week after a 10-year career at CBS News. Reynolds will work for his new network in Chicago, joining correspondent Cynthia Bowers.



Promax/BDA hires GM, shuffles board

Promax/BDA said that it has hired Jill Lindeman as GM and has made several changes to its board of governors. The company also said that Ashy Agency president Brett Ashy has been named chairperson of the BDA board, a post previously held by Steve Kazanjian, DZN vp creative and strategy. Adam Stotsky, Sci Fi Channel senior vp marketing and creative, is replacing Promax/BDA interim managing director Lee Hunt as vice chair of the board. Lesli Rotenberg has moved into the role of board secretary, while NBC Agency entertainment division vp Scot Chastain is treasurer.



E! and Style get special Delivery

Delivery Agent has announced a partnership with E! Entertainment and the Style Network to provide e-commerce services for the networks. Content is available via the networks' Web sites and through Delivery Agent's SeenOn! branded sites. For example, the Style Network's store will feature Delivery Agent "shopisodes," an online video application that allows consumers to shop for products they spot in footage from shows.



Global Film Initiative board doubles

The Global Film Initiative has appointed six new members to its board of directors. The new appointees, who join the current six-member board, are film writer Michael Guillen, educator Fredna Howell, marketing exec Miles Ito, film teacher Konrad Ng, philanthropist Judy Ovitz and investor Dan Zilberman. The Global Film Initiative, now in its fifth year, oversees programs like the Global Lens film series.
