Porizkova is 'Model'-worthy

"America's Next Top Model" viewers will see a new face on the judging panel for the reality competition's next installment. Supermodel Paulina Porizkova has joined the CW series as a judge for Cycle 10, replacing Twiggy, who is departing because of scheduling conflicts. On the judging panel, Porizkova joins Tyra Banks, J. Alexander and Nigel Barker, along with special guest judges. Cycle 10 will premiere in late February or early March.



'4 Months' bows for Oscar run

Cristian Mungiu's Palme d'Or-winning film "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days" will open Dec. 21 for a one-week Academy Award-qualifying run at Los Angeles' Laemmle Sunset 5. Distributors IFC Films and Red Envelope said the move will allow the film to qualify for consideration by the Los Angeles and National Society film critics groups. It also means that the film, which already qualified for consideration in the Academy's foreign-language film race, will be eligible in other Oscar categories. "4 Months" will begin a regular, open-ended engagement Jan. 25 in New York and Feb. 1 in Los Angeles.



'Bonnie Hunt' adds clearances

Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution said Monday that it has cleared its daytime talker "The Bonnie Hunt Show" in more than 75% of the U.S. The hourlong strip — from Bob & Alice Prods. and ParaMedia in association with Telepictures Prods. — has been sold in 17 of the top 20 markets for its fall 2008 launch in syndication.



Silvestri on move at NBC Local Media

Tina Silvestri has been promoted to senior vp sales operations for the NBC Local Media Division. She will work with Mark Lund, executive vp sales at NBC Local Media Division, to streamline the group's sales systems and processes. Silvestri, who had been vp research since 2003, reports to division president John Wallace.



More 'News' for TV Guide Network

TV Guide Network has renewed its unscripted series "Making News" for a second season, ordering 13 new episodes. "Making News: Savannah Style" will go behind the scenes of ABC affiliate WJCL-TV and Fox affiliate WTGS-TV, both of which were purchased in September by New Vision Television, as they try to move beyond a scandal and low ratings. Season 2 is set to begin filming in Savannah, Ga., in December for a June 2 debut. The first season, "Making News: Texas Style," was TV Guide's highest-rated original series this summer.



Harrison gets his Fifteen Minutes gig

PR agency Fifteen Minutes has named Bill Harrison president and COO, while founder Howard Bragman is assuming the title of chairman and CEO. In his new role, Harrison will continue to head the corporate entertainment division while assuming overall agency management responsibilities and continuing to work with Bragman on new business development and long-term planning. Before joining Fifteen Minutes, whose clients include Carlos Mencia, Cathy Schulman, Isaiah Washington, Mario Lopez and Ricki Lake, Harrison held roles at Paradigm, PMK/HBH and Zukerman Communications.
