As the Cardinals-Packers game went into overtime and delayed ‘Saturday Night Live’ on the East Coast by 45 minutes, viewers joked about Driver destroying the set with Kylo Ren's lightsaber.

The Arizona Cardinals beat the Green Bay Packers in overtime in what is being touted by many as a thrilling night of football — but that doesn't include the Star Wars-loving fans of Saturday Night Live.

Saturday night’s NFL playoff game and post-game report on NBC pushed the 11 p.m. local news and subsequently SNL to a start time of 12:15 a.m. for East Coast viewers. Those viewers quickly took to Twitter to vent their frustrations over the delay of the episode hosted by Adam Driver, who plays Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens.

"I wonder if Adam Driver is destroying the sets of Saturday Night Live [sic] because the show is going to be delayed," joked one user, while another called the show "Sunday Morning Live."

SNL was providing fans with updates on Twitter and when the show did finally start, the first sketch of the night was dedicated to the Cardinals-Packers game, featuring Driver and Beck Bennett as broadcasters who continuously showed a replay of a brutal tackle.

Later — to the delight of Star Wars fans everywhere — Driver reprised his villainous role of Kylo Ren for an Undercover Boss sketch on Starkiller Base. Posing as "Matt" in the radar detection department, he donned a worker uniform and prodded his employees for their thoughts on boss Kylo Ren.
