MADRID -- Nickelodeon has reached an agreement with Spain's BRB Internacional that will see new animated TV series "Angus & Cheryl" air across several European and Latin American territories this fall.

The broadcasting deal between Nickelodeon and the Spanish animation giant is the two companies' first venture together and sees the network acquire the cable and satellite TV rights to the series for Belgium, France, Holland, Italy, Latin America, Luxembourg, Portugal, Scandinavia, Spain and Switzerland. In addition, Nickelodeon in Holland also will screen the show in an open-broadcast format.

"Angus & Cheryl," which comprises 104 one-minute and 30-second episodes, is in production at Screen 21, a co-production partner with BRB, along with Catalan regional pubcaster Televisio de Catalunya and Tuba Entertainment.

"Angus & Cheryl," produced in high-def 3-D, offers a fun look at the daily clashes in any couple's relationship through the eyes of two curious protagonists: Angus and Cheryl.

The series has been specifically designed to adapt easily to mobile phones, video games, blogs, podcasts and virtual communities.
