Nick Cannon Wears $2 Million Shoes on 'America's Got Talent'
Diamonds are a dude's best friend, too
Nick Cannon may be separating from Mariah Carey, but that's not stopping him from dripping in diamonds with a pair of blinged-out shoes worth $2 million. Yes, $2 million.
The 33-year-old host wears the bejeweled Tom Ford footwear — customized with more than 14,000 full-cut round white diamonds, totaling 340 carats — during the season-nine finale of NBC's America's Got Talent, airing Wednesday night. The piece, which took 2,000 work hours over nearly a year, was created by Jason of Beverly Hills founder Jason Arasheben. "When Nick approached me last year, he said he wanted to make history and be so over-the-top," who told WWD. "He wanted to set a new standard in diamonds."
Well, it looks like he may be on his way, as the fancy footwear is being reviewed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Valuable Pair of Shoes in the world. And in case you're wondering what Cannon plans to do with the shoes after the show, rest assured that they'll be going to a charitable cause — at least, according to his tweet on Tuesday.
Catch Cannon's elaborate shoes on Wednesday's airing of America's Got Talent on NBC at 8 p.m. PT/ET.
