Nick Jonas Is the New Face of Creative Recreation

Sneakerheads and Jonas fans can look forward to unisex kicks designed by the singer.

Like so many performers before him (Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Solange), Nick Jonas is getting into the sneaker business. No, he’s not starting his own line. Rather, the singer-actor has partnered with Los Angeles footwear brand Creative Recreation as their new face.

The new ambassadorship with one of his longtime go-to labels means Jonas will appear in campaigns — specifically for fall 2016 — and spearhead key initiatives, including designing his own capsule collection. In addition, he’s highlighting his favorite spring/summer silhouettes and will be appearing at events for the brand like Sole Sessions, where he’s set to record acoustic tracks.

Another facet of this comprehensive collaboration: a contest in which fans can win the chance to meet the star during his summer tour with Demi Lovato. But the most anticipated part of the announcement is clearly the star’s first shoe collection, which is set to drop in January 2017. The unisex offerings will reportedly be inspired by a day in the life of the artist.

Said Jonas in a release, “I am looking forward to my collaboration with Creative Recreation, and to starting the footwear design process in creating shoes for my fans that are perfect for their wardrobe.” Guys, girls, line up.
