Nick Lachey Releasing Album Inspired by His Baby
"A Father's Lullaby" will become available weeks before his upcoming album and tour with the reunited 98 Degrees.
Nick Lachey didn't have to look far to find inspiration for his latest musical project.
The new dad is releasing an album next month titled A Father's Lullaby. The disc will feature 12 tracks, including such classics as "You Are My Sunshine" and "Brahms Lullaby," along with four songs that Lachey wrote, inspired by his son.

Lachey and his wife, Vanessa Minnillo (she now goes by "Lachey"), welcomed their first child, Camden, in September. Their son also appears on the album cover with his father.
"When I first learned that I was going to be a father, I was inspired to create a special tribute to my son," Lachey said in a statement announcing the new album. "Music has always been an incredibly significant part of my life and a meaningful way in which I express myself. Creating this album allowed me to further connect with Camden while also sharing the experience with families who are on a similar journey of welcoming a new life into their world."
The album is set for release on iTunes and Amazon on March 13 and will hit stores in April.
"So excited for you all to hear my new album 'A Father's Lullaby,'" Lachey added Tuesday on Twitter. "Camden is the best muse a father could ask for!"
Lachey also has reunited with his 98 Degrees groupmates for a new album, 2.0, set for release May 7, weeks before the group embarks on "The Package Tour" with NKOTB and Boyz II Men. The tour kicks off May 28 in Uncasville, Conn., and winds through 46 other cities before wrapping up in Indianapolis on Aug. 4.
