Nicki Minaj Abandoned Her $11K Dress in a Lonely Dressing Room
Like any good wedding guest, Nicki Minaj never would dream of upstaging the bride. But when you're, um, Nicki Minaj, that can be a difficult feat. That's why the "Anaconda" singer brought not one, but two dress options when she attended older brother Jelani Maraj's wedding to Jacqueline Robinson in Baldwin, N.Y., on Saturday.
Of the two gowns she brought, Minaj ended up choosing a curve-hugging bright red Alexander McQueen number, which was still a showstopper, if you ask us. The rapper posted plenty of photos with friends and family on Instagram throughout the night, hailing the nuptials as a success. However, when the event was over, Minaj forgot all about the too-flashy, discarded Emilio Pucci gown — which cost a cool $11,000, according to the tags still attached to the dress — leaving it behind in the dressing room.
"Page Six" reported that the sequined, bronze floor-length dress was held for safekeeping by the Coral House hotel until it was eventually claimed by Minaj's stylist, Rushka Bergman. Our hearts go out to the dress, which is sure to suffer lifelong abandonment issues following such a traumatizing event. It's OK, Emilio Pucci gown, we're sure Nicki still loves you.
