Nick's 'Shrimp' shells records
EmptyNickelodeon has scored with the premiere of its original movie "Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp."
The movie, which debuted at 9 p.m. Friday, averaged 5.8 million total viewers and 2.3 million tweens 9-14, according to Nielsen Media Research. "Shrimp," starring Nickelodeon favorites Drake Bell and Josh Peck, also pulled in 2.4 million kids 6-11, including 1.3 million boys in the demo, and 3.1 million kids 2-11.
It also posted triple-digit increases over the same time period a year ago in kids 2-11 and 6-11 and among tweens 9-14.
In addition, the "Shrimp" online site on Nick.com, which launched July 27, has generated more than 1.7 million page views. n
