Nielsen's Byrne to be honored

Edie Falco also among recipients of 'Made in NY' awards

Gerry Byrne, senior vp of Nielsen Business Media's Media & Entertainment Group, will be among the honorees when New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg presents the fourth annual "Made in NY" awards Monday at Gracie Mansion.

The awards are presented to individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution to New York's entertainment industry in film, television, commercials and theater.

In addition to Byrne, this year's honorees are Edie Falco, who stars on Showtime's "Nurse Jackie"; composer-lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda, whose work ranges from "Sesame Street" to the Broadway musical "In the Heights"; representatives from Hungry Man, a N.Y.-based commercial production company; and Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts, a not-for-profit advocacy organization.

The mayor will be joined by Katherine Oliver, commissioner of the NYC Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting.
