No Doubt's New Album Just Two Months From Completion
After 10 years, Gwen Stefani and the boys are back for a "modern, catchy, addictive" new album.
It's been 10 years since No Doubt released their last studio album, "Rock Steady," but fans may soon be placated with a brand new LP on the horizon.
The band tells Rolling Stone that the still untitled sixth album is approximately two months away from completion. While the past decade has felt like a lifetime for eager fans, Gwen Stefani insists that progress has moved along quickly for the entertainers.
"A lot of stuff happened during that time period," she tells the mag. "Marriages, babies and, for me, two records and two clothing lines. So if you really worked out the math, you'd be like, 'Wow, you guys are going fast.'"

No Doubt actually began work on the impending album back in 2008, but production was sidetracked while Stefani was pregnant with her second child, Zuma. Songwriting became a difficult task for the singer as she focused on motherhood.
The group came together again in late 2009, fresh off the heels of their summer tour. For No Doubt, writing together was just like riding a bike.
"I had gone on my tortured journey of working with outside songwriters," the frontwoman dishes of her two solo albums. "I would throw up if someone made me do that again."
Bassist Tony Kanal adds, "Writing with other people is a learning experience, but when you come back, and you're sitting in a room together, it feels like home."

"Once you make music that connects with people, it's like you taste blood," she says. "You can't go back."
