NY TV fest unveils 5th anniversary lineup

Event to host the premieres of fall season newbies

NEW YORK -- The New York Television Festival's fifth anniversary edition will host the premieres of fall season newbies, suich as ABC's "Cougar Town," "Modern Family" and "FlashForward," Fox's "The Cleveland Show" and NBC's "Short Cuts," as well as a panel featuring the writers of CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."

The programming announced by organizers Wednesday also includes keynotes from Bonnie Hammer, president of NBC Universal Cable Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions, as well as Rick Rosen, head of television, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment; and NATPE president and CEO Rick Feldman.

The return of the Independent Pilot Competition, the People's Choice Award and a new Fox Television Studios "FtvS 15 Gigs of Fame" award will also be part of the festival, which runs Sept. 21-26.
