The designer, who will present his spring 2015 collection on Wednesday with Miley Cyrus, tells us why he swears by Los Angeles-based skincare guru and friend Marianne Kehoe.

"I have never met a facialist who was so passionate about skincare and always being on the forefront of new techniques and products to help the skin not only look more beautiful, but also literally be healthier, too," says fashion designer Jeremy Scott of Los Angeles-based aesthetician Marianne Kehoe. For 10 years, Scott has been a devotee of the facialist, whose approach to skincare combines her keen sense of intuition with state-of-the-art technology and a focus on the effects of diet and internal health.

“Her approach is to work from the inside out,” explains Scott, who tries to pay a bi-weekly visit to Kehoe in her Studio City location. So it’s no surprise that Scott dropped in on Kehoe last week, in preparation for his New York Fashion Week show on Sept. 10, which will also mark the debut of Miley Cyrus’ first art show, entitled, “Dirty Hippie.”

“I love to come and start with her far-infrared sauna with chrome therapy, and then I do a deep-pore cleansing with galvanic current. I like to end with the facial infusion (which is her version of a non-invasive peel) to make my skin look perfect,” he says. It’s a treatment that Kehoe has perfected over the course of 20 years, since getting her start at the esteemed Face Place and opening Studio Kehoe in 2012.

“I rarely have anybody that breaks out after this treatment,” says Kehoe, who customizes her treatments according to her clients needs, using the doctor-driven line, Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare. According to Kehoe, Scott has reportedly referred close to 100 clients to her over the course of ten years, including models Liberty Ross and Agyness Deyn, and director Eli Roth. “I had asked a friend in Los Angeles for a recommendation, and she gave me Marianne’s contact,” says Scott. “I thank my lucky stars for that recommendation!”
