Occupy Wall Street already has a print publication, and soon they will have a benefit album. The movement is planning a benefit album featuring Third Eye Blind, Crosby & Nash, Jackson Browne, Devo and Lucinda Williams, among others.
Musician Jason Samel is putting together the album, and told The AP that they hope to raise between $1 million and $2 million to help support the movement.

Occupy This Album, which will be available this winter, will also feature Ladytron, Aeroplane Pageant, DJ Logic, Mike Rimbaud, Yo La Tengo, Warren Haynes and Toots and the Maytals. Filmmaker Michael Moore, who has visited the protests and spoken in support of the demonstrations may also sing on the album.
The Occupy Wall Street demonstrations have been going on since mid-September in New York City’s Zuccotti Park. The protests are against corporate greed and corruption.

Money raised from the album will go through the nonprofit Alliance for Global Justice, with half the proceeds funneling to the New York movement, and the other half to other projects around the country and world.
The Occupy Wall Street protests have seen increased media attention throughout the two months that they have been going on, due in part to appearances by actors and filmmakers such as Moore, Susan Sarandon and Mark Ruffalo. Sometimes violent interactions between police and the demonstrators in cities throughout the country have also led to the increased media coverage. While the protests began in New York, they have spread throughout the country and even in Canada.
