Odeon picks up 'Surveillance' rights
Jennifer Lynch film to screen at CannesLONDON -- Odeon Sky Filmworks, the joint theatrical distribution arm operated by U.K. exhibitor Odeon and satcaster BSkyB, has snapped up all U.K. rights to Jennifer Lynch's "Surveillance."
Executive produced by Lynch's filmmaker father, David, "Surveillance" is due to unspool in an Out of Competition midnight slot at the Festival de Cannes.
It stars Julia Ormond, Bill Pullman, Pell James, Kent Harper, Ryan Simpkins, Michael Ironside and French Stewart and is billed as a "chilling thriller."
Odeon Sky Filmworks head Tony Miller struck the deal with sales and finance house Arclight executive vp Liz Mackiewicz.
The picture is written by Kent Harper and Jennifer Lynch and is a Film Star Pictures/Lago Film production and will be released across the U.K. in the fall.
