It's Official: Drew Barrymore to Star Opposite Adam Sandler in Warner Bros. Romantic Comedy
Drew Barrymore is once again re-teaming with Adam Sandler, signing on to Sandler’s untitled romantic comedy set up at Warner Bros., The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed
The project, which was initially called Blended when it was set up as a pitch in 2007, centers on a man and a woman who, after a disastrous first date, get trapped at a family resort with their kids from previous marriages in tow. An attraction begins to grow despite comedic mishaps.

Sandler boarded the project in February; at the time, Barrymore was pegged as the frontrunner for the female lead.
Frequent Sandler director Frank Coraci is helming the project, which is being produced by Mike Karz and Sandler’s Happy Madison shingle.
Barrymore has co-starred in two of Sandler’s best reviewed and most successful comedies, 1998’s The Wedding Singer (also directed by Coraci) and 2004’s 50 First Dates.
The actress last starred in 2012’s whale rescue drama Big Miracle.
