The band is performing as part of the Fergie-hosted West Coast celebration.

New Year's Eve just got a little more festive.

One Direction will be returning to the 2016 edition of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, to perform for the second time as headliners of the Billboard Hollywood Party in Los Angeles. The Fergie-hosted fete will be part of the West Coast segments of the Dec. 31 worldwide telecast — which, of course, centers on the famous ball drop in New York's Times Square.

“It’s been an incredible year for us and we can’t wait to ring in the New Year with all our fans on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” said One Direction in a statement. “It’s an honor to be back at the Billboard Hollywood Party for our second year.”

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will also feature Carrie Underwood to help ring in 2016 — tune in on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT to see all the action for yourself.
