Oprah Winfrey, Arianna Huffington Launch New Section on Huffington Post
The OWN CEO's first article explains that the new section will focus on inspiration and personal growth.
Today is Oprah Winfrey's "launch day" on The Huffington Post.
The media mogul penned a letter on the website in celebration of the Nov. 1 launch of The Oprah Winfrey Network’s special section on the online newspaper. Winfrey thanks Arianna Huffington for giving her network the opportunity to “extend ‘the conversation’" about empowerment and "how we can grow and evolve ourselves to the truest expression of who we each are meant to be."

As with her OWN network, the focus of the special section on The Huffington Post will be on empowerment, inspiration and personal growth.
Articles appearing in the new section include a slideshow gift guide of Oprah's "Favorite Things," tips on identifying hidden causes of stress and exhaustion and guidelines to optimizing readers' time at home and at work.
In her first post, Winfrey goes on to explain how OWN is a way to reach out to her audience about life lessons and insights from programs including Lifeclass, Super Soul Sunday, and Master Class and her interviews with celebrities on Oprah's Next Chapter.
STORY: Justin Bieber to Appear on 'Oprah's Next Chapter'
To help promote her network’s purpose, Winfrey hopes to continue connecting with viewers through her partnership with the news website. She concludes her letter by writing: “Understanding that we are all more powerful than we know -- that we are all connected to something bigger than ourselves -- is the real conversation I want to have. In many ways, it is the only conversation, I believe, truly worth having. So let’s continue this conversation together here at the OWN section of The Huffington Post.”
The next guest to appear on Oprah's Next Chapter will be Justin Bieber, set to air on Nov. 25.
